A Chinese Chef with a Story to Tell
Hailing from a family of chefs, Tian Yue's passion for the culinary arts blossomed in Yangzhou during his childhood. For "The Taste of China" at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski, he and his colleague have curated a captivating selection of authentic delights. As I have been tasting this lovely dishes with my friend from Shanghai, I can assure you that you will enjoy authentic Chinese food.
From aromatic Huaiyang dishes to the bold flavors of Sichuan and the exquisite tastes of Cantonese cuisine, we were in for a Chinese treat at the Brasserie Quarré (the restaurant of the hotel). Lucky us, he also took some time to talk to us, and lucky me my Chinese friend could translate a little bit for me.

Sharing Traditions: A Feast for All
In keeping with Chinese culinary traditions, all dishes were served for simultaneous sharing among my friend and me at each table, which I would also recommend for you too. This communal dining style adds a social and convivial element to the experience, allowing friends and family to bond over the delectable flavors - this is also very typical in China.
Daily Delights: The Taste of China at a Special Price
For those looking to indulge in the culinary journey on a daily basis, one of the featured dishes will be offered as a rotating daily special at the attractive price of 28 Euros. This includes the dish, a small salad, water, and a specialty coffee, available between 12:30 and 18:00 at the Brasserie Quarré. It's an excellent opportunity to explore a variety of flavors throughout the week.
A journey into China's rich tea history is also on the menu (my favorite drink). Experience the Moonlight White, a wine-infused fusion served in a small cup, featuring the famous white Anji tea. This nod to centuries-old tea culture in Asia can be enjoyed in the Lobby Bar or alongside a high-quality cigar in the Elephant Bar.
