Top 5 LGBT-friendly spots in Neukölln

Neukölln wasn’t always known for its queer scene. Around a decade ago, the district was rarely mentioned alongside Berlin’s established LGBT hotspots. But like much of the city, Neukölln has evolved — and today it’s one of the most exciting areas to explore Berlin’s diverse and inclusive nightlife, cafés, and cultural spaces.

From legendary clubs to relaxed coffee spots, Neukölln offers a mix of queer-friendly places that feel authentic, unpolished, and local. For my QueerBerlin map, I teamed up with Adam to explore and curate the best LGBT-friendly locations across the city. Here are our top picks in Neukölln.

Party: Cocktail d’Amore

(Griessmühle closed)

CockTail d'Amore is held on the first weekend of the month at Griessmühle and has rightfully earned its place as one of Berlin's top alternative LGBT parties. Cocktail d’Amore starts on Saturday night and rolls into Monday morning.

RSO.Berlin – where Griessmühle lives on

After the closure of the beloved Griessmühle in 2020, Berlin lost one of its defining club spaces — but not for long. The team behind it relocated and created something new in an unexpected setting: the former Bärenquell brewery in Niederschöneweide.

Today, the site operates as Revier Südost, with RSO.Berlin as its club core. The spirit remains unchanged: raw, spacious, and unapologetically Berlin. The venue combines multiple areas — from outdoor spaces for summer nights to large halls for concerts, dance floors, bars, and even an open-air cinema. Weekends here still stretch far beyond Sunday, often continuing into Monday morning — just the way Berlin nightlife is known for. It may be a short S-Bahn ride out of Neukölln, but for many, it’s one of the most exciting club experiences in the city right now.

Beyond clubs, Neukölln is home to a growing number of LGBT-friendly bars. Many of them don’t label themselves explicitly as queer spaces — but that’s exactly what makes them feel so Berlin:

Alaska Bar

vegan & queer in Neukölln

The Alaska Bar is one of Neukölln’s best-known queer-friendly bars — and a standout for its fully vegan concept. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, with a strong focus on inclusivity and community. Expect creative cocktails, plant-based tapas, and a crowd that reflects Berlin’s open-minded spirit. Whether you’re starting your night here or staying longer, Alaska Bar is a reliable go-to for a relaxed yet distinctly queer Neukölln experience.
